Crush Back to the 80s

packaging  ·  In-store advertising ·  point-of-sale displays

Our team traveled back to the ’80s to create concepts for this limited-time-offer flavor. After many concepts were presented, they narrowed in on my synthwave aesthetic concept. Mixing that with marker-textured typography often seen on punk zines and neon colors created a 12-pack that truly popped off the shelf and screamed ’80s nostalgia.

I then expanded the design to multiple point-of-sale items. After being given the challenge of combining the ’80s concept with an existing Crush phone game promotion, I got to work transporting the audience to a time when they played video games on their huge, bubble-screened, pixelated TVs, creating a colorful, nostalgic experience that both kids and parents could have fun with. The campaignwent on to drive strong traffic and sales during the limited-time promotion.
